Submission guideline extended until February 14

We’re still looking for your best writing and art, so we’ve decided to extend the submission deadline for this year’s issue of Oakwood until February 14, 2020.

Please note that if you were published in our pages in 2018 or 2019 (but not both) you’re now eligible to submit for this year. (Those original restrictions turned out to be a bit… well, restrictive, and that’s why we’re extending the deadline.)

Please pass the word!

Great Plains Writers Conference CANCELED

Unfortunately, due to extreme weather conditions the Great Plains Writers Conference has been canceled. As a result of this, the launch of the 2019 Oakwood has been canceled for this weekend as well.

We’re currently working on rescheduling the Oakwood launch but as of right now we’re not sure about the details.

Thanks so much for your continued support. More details will be released as they come.

Stay warm and stay safe out there!

Submissions CLOSED for Oakwood 2019

Yesterday was the last day for submissions. Thank you to everyone who sent in their work! We will now be dedicating most of our time to reading all the submissions we’ve received. Acceptance and rejection emails should be going out around mid-March as it will take us some time to read everything we’ve received and cast our final votes.

We look forward to reading all your submissions!
